Vanessa spoke briefly of her fear of heights and subsequent personal journey of successfully climbing a mountain in Italy. This segued into how difficult it is for children to navigate through their childhood to adulthood.  From there she explained the programs available at the BGCGH and the benefits of each
Programs:
 
  • Partnership with with many schools to provide a nutritious breakfast, free of charge, in a supportive and positive environment for students.
  • In-service day camps, Christmas break day camps, & March break day camps
  • Summer day camps
  • Torch Club -Torch Clubs aged 10-13, get engaged with what’s happening in their community.
  • Keystone - Keystone helps kids 14 and older channel their energy in a positive direction. It focuses on leadership, education and career development, economic and political awareness, and social recreation.
  • Raise the Grade - Raise the Grade is an academic success and life after school skills program for youth in grades 7-12.
