This Saturday, April 24, Rotary Club of Sackville and Area sponsored the Square Roots Project. Sackville Square Roots aims to tackle a growing issue that affects many people across many communities: food waste and food insecurity. Programs were developed to redirect good food from being thrown away.  Fruits and vegetables are purchased in bulk, bundled in reusable bags, and delivered.

Approximately 90 bags were bundled and delivered with all Covid restrictions being applied.  The weather was most co-operative, which helped make the day of 20 Rotarians and Friends a great day.

Some comments:  "It was a great morning!" "Great fun. What Rotary is about!!" "It was a lot of fun!  Teamwork can do so much." "Great day. What amazing teamwork!" "Thanks for organizing this event."  "Great fun" "and great to see everyone!"

Looking forward to sponsoring again in June!
