On April 30, 2019, we had the pleasure of welcoming District Governor of 7820, Rob Christie to our club as our guest speaker. He presented two awards to our club on behalf of Rotary International; The True Rotarian Award and 2018-2019 Presidential Citation.
His goal, as he shared with us, was to S.H.A.P.E up your Rotary world. He encouraged everyone to Strengthen our clubs, provide Humanitarian service, raise Awareness of Indigenous peoples, tell our stories through a higher Public Image and engage in Environmental stewardship. He noted that each club in our District has responded to this challenge in unique and positive ways........
He stated it was abundantly obvious in his travels around the District over this past year that none of the accomplishments of this year would have been possible without the inspired work of each and every Rotarian. He thanked us for the privilege and opportunity of serving as our District Governor and being part of the incredible team called District 7820!
After our meeting, we all went to Acadia Park to view the Rotary Mosaics.
