A sincere thank you to District 14 and Councillor, Lisa Blackburn for their help in our quest to “support education” in our communities. Literacy (both Children and Adults) has been an area of focus for Rotary Club of Sackville and Area since its inception. Covid restrictions have limited our efforts, but has not got the better of us. A book giveaway of approximately 350 children’s books is planned for the weekend of February 18th as part of Sackville Snow Days.
Mark Wilson, a Rotary Club member, said it very well “When you teach somebody how to read, they have that for a lifetime. It ripples through the community, one by one”.
