Club Members on Tour

Whilst in Edmonton, Club member Sue Paynter decided to make a visit to another club. Here she is at the Rotary Club of Edmonton.

The Rotary Club of Edmonton celebrated its 100th birthday on April 1 this year, and as part of its celebrations had a visit from the RI president. They have over 160 members and even have their own Foundation!

This week their speaker was Brian Jean, leader of the Wild Rose Party and opposition leader in Alberta.

Brian spoke to the club about the wildfires in Fort McMurray, their impact on the community and also the personal impact on him: he lost his own home.

Rotary will be there to help Fort McMurray rebuild its community and economy with a successful fundraiser and hands on support.
