We were excited to be part of the Sackville Snow Days Festival for the second year. Our contribution to the fun opening event at the Royal Canadian Legion on Friday 12 Feb was a Giant Ker-Plunk game. The tournaments were set up and run by members of our Interact Club based at Charles P Allen High School, and all the kids who played won a goodie bag, book or McDonalds gift card. It was a great family event and the games of Ker-Plunk continued long after the end time of the event!

President Ron and guest volunteer John reminisce about long ago Ker-Plunk games where the smaller table top version was played. Ron is demonstrating the best technique for removing the straws!

The Sackville Town Crier offically opens the 2016 Sackville Snow Days Festival, prior to the cutting of the cake by Frozen's Olaf. Sadly his scroll did not include playing tips for Ker-Plunk!

A large crowd is excitedly playing the game, with members of the Interact Club making sure that everyone gets a turn. All the children entered into the sprit of the event coming in costume and enthusiastically supporting all the events - having their faces painted, eating cake and cotton candy and competing for Rotary prizes!

Handmade goody bags, Mc Donalds gift cards and books were all available for players of Ker-Plunk to win. The game was so popular that by the end of the evening only a couple of books were left over, with all the other prizes having been won. Thankyou to all the Rotarians, Interactors and of course the players for making this a fun and successful event
