Our Interact Club at CP Allen High School have already been busy this school year. Firstly they “Scared Hunger” in Bedford on Halloween to collect supplies for Feed Nova Scotia, and were inundated with supplies from local families.

They are now working on raising funds for  humanitarian projects.....

They organised a bottle drive early in January to take advantage of local residents’ larger than usual festive filled recycling bins, and took the haul of recyclables to Bluewater recycling. Very many thanks to them for their help!

The Rotary Club has an account at Faders recycling in Sackville and so continued contributions can be made that way.

The money they are raising are to partly be put towards a Shelterbox – the Rotary supported aid relief kit that provides housing and essential supplies after a natural disaster or other occurrence where local peoples are displaced from their homes. www.shelterboxcanada.org.

They are also looking at other humanitarian projects at home and abroad that they can support and are continuing to raise funds through the winter citrus sale.
