5th Anniversary Charter / Paul Harris Night

They grow up so fast...

On April 28th, we celebrated our 5th birthday and named guest speaker Peter Stoffer a Paul Harris Fellow.

Nearly 60 people celebrated our 5th anniversary on April 28th at St. John the Evangelist Church on Old Sackville Road. The meal was beautifully prepared. Many thanks to the church volunteers. It was fun to have the Mother Pluckers back to provide us with some live musical entertainment. Our guest speaker Peter Stoffer was named a Paul Harris Fellow, the first time our club has named someone in our community with this honour that is not a Rotarian. Peter shared wonderful stories of his and wife Andrea's recent trip to the 100th Anniversary commemoration ceremony of the battle at Vimy Ridge chaperoning 40 students from Cole Harbour High School. He spoke of service above self and that for veterans and their families every day is Remembrance Day. Thanks to PDG Jim for presenting Peter with his pin and certificate.
